Professional Development at Prime7
At Prime7 Multi Academy Trust, we believe that investing in our staff is the key to unlocking the full potential of our students. Our professional development programme is designed to empower teachers, support staff, and leaders to continually refine their practice, embrace innovative teaching strategies, and provide the highest quality education for every child.
A Commitment to Excellence
Professional development is at the heart of everything we do. We understand that quality-first teaching, alongside a well-structured curriculum, is fundamental to improving learning outcomes. That’s why we are committed to providing tailored, research-informed professional growth opportunities for all our staff.
Our Professional Development Framework
We offer a dynamic, collaborative approach to professional development, ensuring that all educators have access to high-quality training and coaching:
- Precision Teaching with Steplab: We embed Steplab principles to ensure high-impact, step-by-step instructional coaching that refines classroom practice.
- Apprenticeship Levy for SEND and Early Years: We utilise the apprenticeship levy to support training in special educational needs (SEND) and early years, ensuring staff receive specialist qualifications and expertise.
- Collaborative Working Groups: We foster professional dialogue and shared learning through SEND-focused working groups, supported by the Autism Education Trust, allowing educators to exchange best practices and deepen their knowledge.
- Paired Reviews & Professional Learning Networks: Staff participate in paired lesson reviews, working alongside colleagues to reflect on and improve their teaching. Cross-school learning networks help spread expertise across the Trust.
- Individual Teacher Coaching: Every teacher has access to one-on-one instructional coaching to support personalised professional growth and classroom effectiveness.
Leadership Development & National Qualifications: Leadership training is a priority, with opportunities both within Prime7 and through external providers such as the National Professional Qualifications (NPQs) and other recognised leadership pathways.
