Our approach is centered on providing tailored support that enables every pupil to reach their full potential and take advantage of the opportunities available to them.
In addition, King's Sutton Primary Academy features a specialised Resource Base designed specifically for students diagnosed with Autism. This provision accommodates up to 30 pupils, ranging from Reception to Year 6 (ages 4-11), and consists of three dedicated classes, each staffed by a teacher and two teaching assistants. Our team has received specialised training in Autism support and is guided by a senior leader with extensive expertise in Special Educational Needs.
Admission to the Resource Base requires a formal diagnosis of Autism and an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). The curriculum within the Resource Base is specifically tailored to address the unique educational and social development needs of these children, ensuring they receive a comprehensive and supportive learning experience.
Testimonial
"My autistic son has come on leaps and bounds since starting at the Resource Base! He's actually excited to go to school again. The new sensory room looks amazing. It's a badly needed resource in the local area as SEN settings are hugely overwhelmed and underfunded. I haven't got enough words to praise the staff enough and SENCO Katy Griffin has been the best we've ever had. The communication is brilliant from all the staff every day. 10/10 rating. 100%"
