  • Autism Unit Provision at King's Sutton Primary Academy

King's Sutton Primary Academy is committed to fostering an inclusive environment that reflects the diversity of our local community. We welcome pupils with varying abilities and needs, ensuring that each child is recognised as an individual. Our approach is centred on providing tailored support that enables every pupil to reach their full potential and take advantage of the opportunities available to them.

In addition, King's Sutton Primary Academy features a specialised unit designed specifically for pupils diagnosed with Autism. This provision accommodates up to 30 pupils, ranging from Reception to Year 6 (ages 4–11), and consists of three dedicated classes, each staffed by a teacher and two teaching assistants. Our team has received specialised training in Autism support and is guided by a senior leader with extensive expertise in Special Educational Needs.

Admission to the Unit requires a formal diagnosis of Autism and an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP). The curriculum within the Unit is specifically tailored to address the unique educational and social development needs of these children, ensuring they receive a comprehensive and supportive learning experience.

    Testimonial

"The difference in my son since he started in the unit a few weeks ago is incredible. He is so much happier and calmer, and we love seeing him participate in learning on Seesaw. Great communication and support."
